Ng Teng Fong General Hospital is a 700-bed hospital located in the Western part of Singapore. Named after Singaporean entrepreneur, Ng Teng Fong, the hospital is part of an integrated development with Jurong Community Hospital.
Besides easy accessibility to public transport services via Jurong East MRT station and Jurong East Bus Interchange, JurongHealth’s integrated healthcare hub enjoys seamless connectivity to the surrounding retail, dining and entertainment facilities.
Breaking new ground, NTFGH and JCH are the first hospitals in Singapore to be designed and built together from the ground up as an integrated development to complement each other for better patient care, greater efficiency and convenience. The hospital planning process took into account how patient care, treatment and rehabilitation may continue seamlessly between the hospitals.
NTFGH and JCH were envisioned to transform the way healthcare is provided to the community in the west. They were designed to ensure patient-centred services are delivered in a seamless and integrated way. This flows from the design of the hospitals to the provision of medical care, as well as the connectivity to the community.
NTFGH is twinned with JCH so that patients who no longer require acute care can recuperate in a setting better catered to their needs. JurongHealth will manage both hospitals to facilitate integration to all levels. Patients will benefit from the co-management by doctors from both hospitals. Their medical records and treatment plans will also be integrated. Running the two hospitals as one will assure patients and their caregivers seamlessly coordinated care and processes.
