Our founding father Dr Fong Poh Him, started his private practice in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the 1980s at Mount Elizabeth Hospital with just one nurse in a single consultation room. He worked hard, striving to bring quality and life enhancing treatments to people in Singapore and regionally on his medical mission trips. Dr Fong Poh Him grew his practice, to include Arcadia Laser Surgicentre, pioneering work in Laser Surgery and Medicine.
Over the years, Dr Fong Poh Him has nurtured a deep trust and understanding amongst his patients. His motto “ Living life well and simply “ underlies the philosophy in our daily interaction with people. Dr Fong Poh Him continues to serve his patients both locally and regionally, and is actively involved in medical mission trips.
In the early 2000s we grew with the addition of Dr Fong Poh Seong “ Jim Fong “, Dental Surgeon and brother of Dr Fong Poh Him. With this, we were able to provide quality dental care for our patients.
Gynaecologist Dr Vincent Ng Geok Khim joined the group subsequently, bringing with him over 30 years of experience to the practice. His experience in Women’s Health guides our management of female health issues.
In 2006 Dr Fong Lian Im joined the group, bringing a new dimension to holistic health care by offering simple solutions to living well, from disease prevention to enhancing wellness. She believes in engaging the person, and building a relationship that will last.
In 2016 our services expanded with the inclusion of Ms Joan Chia Puay Cher, Counselor with special interest in children and teenagers. She brings with her training in Choice Theory. Our Group continues to grow, with our aging population and increasing interest in sports and lifestyle medicine we are expanding into Sports and Orthopaedic medicine.
