Dr Wong Keng Yean practise full time Paediatric Cardiology. He trained in Paediatric Cardiology for 2 years in the Royal Children Hospital, Melbourne, Australia. He then worked in the National Heart Centre for 2 years before starting up the Cardiology Dept in KK Women’s and Children Hospital which he headed for 15 years. He was involved in research and training of the paediatric cardiologist and graduate and post graduate training. He was appointed Associate Clinical Proffessor, and Adjunct Associate Professor, National University Hospital, Adjunct Asscociate Professor, Duke Graduate Medical School and was Visiting Consultant to Singapore National Heart Centre and the Neontal Dept of SGH and KKH.
Dr Wong has published many research papers both in local and overseas journals on Paediatric Cardiology.
Dr Wong gave the 8th College of Paediatrics and Child Health Lectureship 2013 which is awarded to distinguished members of the College in recognition of their work in the field.
Dr Wong has given lectures and done paediatric cardiac mission work in China, Myanmar, Vietnam and Cambodia.
His interest are paediatric echocardiogram and fetal cardiac echocardiogram and diagnostic/interventional paediatric cardiology.
