Dr. Valerie Teo was born and raised in Singapore and obtained her chiropractic education in Sydney, Australia. She graduated from Macquarie University with a Bachelors degree in 2011 and Masters of Chiropractic in 2013. She is registered with the Chiropractic Board of Australia.
Her interest for health care began at a young age when she and her family had the privilege to receive chiropractic care. Because of this, Valerie was inspired to pursue her dream to become a chiropractor to share her experience in chiropractic with others.
Dr Valerie is a confident manual adjuster who is also competent in various techniques such as Activator, Thompson drop table, and Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT), as well as rehabilitation exercise and muscle release techniques. She is also a certified Kinesio Taping practitioner and a member of Kinesio Taping Association International.
Valerie is fluent in English, Mandarin, Hokkien, Korean, and Malay. Her hobbies include swimming, cooking and joining in the “Korean wave”.
Valerie loves her furry friends. Being an animal lover, and to broaden her competencies, she is working on a certification in veterinary chiropractic at Options for Animals College of Animal Chiropractic, Kansas, USA, which is scheduled to be completed in July 2017.
