Extra•Ordinary Place @ Joo Chiat started operations in September 2018, debuting a first-of-its-kind child-centric approach towards therapy services. Based on a thorough assessment of each child in close consultation with the parents, Extra•Ordinary People’s team of therapists will recommend a holistic and integrated range of services, ensuring that every child’s needs are met.
Our services range from psychological interventions and speech and occupational therapies to arts and play therapies, conducted by passionate therapists who have a wealth of experience in working with children and families, with most having served in special education (SPED) and mainstream schools. Our educational therapists will deliver literacy and numeracy programmes which help to support students at MOE schools.
Housed in a red campus-style building and set within a landscaped garden, the location will also feature a performing arts studio and caregivers’ lounge. It is designed to be a warm and supportive space available for children with special needs and their families to use and enjoy as a sanctuary or resource centre.
